Jose P. Rizal: A Great Hero of all ages (Narrative Essay)

Last January 18, we watched a stage play named: "Batang Rizal". The stage play is all about the national hero of the Philippines, Dr. Jose Protacio Rizal. It will be shown on PETA Theater on Antipolo.  Everyone student is required to watch the show. We are all excited to watch it.

Before we go, we had much time to prepare. We ate our lunch and prepare all things we need. At exactly 1:00 PM, we are ready to go! On the way to PETA Theater, we saw a collision of two tricycles. We saw a blood stains! So our presumption is that one of them has either died or had a bad condition in the hospital. While we are on the way, I prayed in my mind and hope nothing bad would happen. We arrived at the theater safely! We waited and fall in a great big line! We waited for at least one hour. At last! After a long walk, we have taken our seat on the theater. We wait for almost 30 minutes and the show started.

A boy and a girl was giving introductory message and remind the theater watchers the proper etiquette inside the theater. The first scene is: the school bell rings and the students form their line. The singing of the national anthem started. After it, a school principal entered the stage and scolded a boy named Pepito because he sleeping under the tree. A mayor named Raffku entered the scene. He donates a statue of Dr. Jose Rizal. This statue is made of finest materials so it is so expensive. But Pepito suddenly broke it! He was so afraid that time. So he pretend to be the statue and covered himself with a white cloth so that the mayor and the principal would not see him. But unfortunately, the principal saw Pepito. The principal got really angry and condemned Pepito that if he don't fix the statue, he will be expelled. The school bully heard this and they tease the poor Pepito. Pepito go to the school library and reviewed because there will be a long test about Dr. Jose Rizal. A magical thing happened and he was now on the time of Rizal. He saw a younger version of Dr. Jose Rizal. They made friends. They play and  tell stories together. They traveled through time and Pepito discovered everything about Rizal. They discovered that Rizal is also an ordinary kid. Rizal also experienced to be bullied and teased. Pepito ask Rizal if he can fix the statue. Rizal agreed and they went to Pepito's time. Pepito introduced Rizal to his friends. At first they don't believe at him. They teased, bullied and blackmail Pepito and Rizal. Pepito repeated his favor to Rizal many times. After a long long time, Rizal got annoyed. Rizal told Pepito: "Why are you giving importance to a statue. Is it the statue that gives a hero fame??" These remarkable words were printed to my mind. Is it really the statue who gives fame to a hero? Is it the statue who brings the life of someone? Is it the statue who is important? Why are we giving so much importance to a well carved stone? So many questions entered my mind. The school bully still bullied Pepito. The mayor Raffku heard the news and said that if the statue wouldn't be fixed before the school: "Buwan ng Wika", the school will be closed. All the students were now in trouble. Pepito's friends including the school bully formed a team that would help rebuild the statue. They give Rizal an apology. They formed a plan.

The "Buwan ng Wika" celebration had arrived! Mayor Raffku will now unveil the statue. But he was so surprised to see that it was just the students who were in there. Mayor Rafku got angry. But Rizal came holding a carved stack books and on top of it was perfectly carved head of Dr. Jose Rizal. The mayor was so surprised to see the stone carve! He promised not to close the school, instead, he will donate more books and rooms. The last scene is one of the most memorable scenes of all. Rizal decided go back to his time. The students planned something. They planned to surprise Rizal. They collected PVC pipes and they attached it together. This looks like a statue of a man running. While they are fixing it, they sing a memorable song. Rizal was so surprised and shocked. Rizal go back to his time and face his real life.

After watching the play, I was so overwhelmed. I can't express my feelings. Right then, I keep in my mind that whenever I saw a statue of a hero, I will not praise his appearance. Instead, I will remember and praise his good works. Some of my classmates where crying and some are not. But I see to their eyes that they are carried away by that stage play. Batang Rizal can be concluded as a masterpiece! I hope someday, I could watch that play again.

Lost Horizon (Process Analysis Essay)

We, humans, are gifted with special abilities. One is the power to remember specific thing like numbers, letters, and even the right way in going to school, home, etc. Nowadays, we can find new locations with a Global Positioning System. But what if you are trapped in an isolated island without any gadgets and tools? How will you survive? Here are some steps to survive.

First, try to check if there are any other person in the island  You could just scan places you already explored. It's good to have a companion or a team that would help each other to escape the island. Next, find any food source. Check carefully the trees if there are fruits. You could also chop raw meats of a dead boar, and soak it on a salt water to preserve. A salt water has a high salt content enough to preserve a meat.

Third, explore the island, it's good to have knowledge on where you are. Find the highest peak you can reach. It can help us later. Please explore the part in the island that is safe. Next is, find tools. Search the beach side carefully and maybe you can find simple things. I'm sure you are not the only the first one who is trapped in the island. So  maybe there are tools, weapons, equipment that is left there. Maybe you can find a pen, axe, broken radio, peeling knife and many more. On this step, your aim is to find a tool that hacks trees or plants and a weapon for fighting deadly animals. Carefully scan the island to find gadgets. Save cut branches because you might need them later.

Fifth, find an escape part. You could first plan your escape with the tools you have. For example, you found a broken radio. You could fix it with primitive tools suck as cut tree branches, smooth stones, driftwood or even the salty sand. If the radio has disconnected wires, we could fix it with  a salty sand. A salty sand can be found below sea water. We should apply salty sand around the end of one disconnected wire and join it with the other. Blow it with cool air and it will conduct or transport electricity from one point to another. After fixing, place the radio on the highest peak of the island. Try to intercept signal and seek help.

Another way is, we can make a boat that will serve as your escape ship. Use driftwood and join them together with the use of thick leaves and fibers. Build a boat that can carry almost three times of your weight. You need a tough boat to store foods. Use dried branches to row your boat. This method is best used as escape plan when it's around 4:00 to 8:00 AM. At this time, the sea is calm. We could row the boat and travel for a long long journey. You can now escape the isolated island safely!

We are always gifted with special abilities. We can use the ability to survive these situations. Remembering lessons and thinking positive things can greatly help you survive unexpected situations. In a long run, you can choose to do these steps or choose to do your own way.

A Friend from the Future (Descriptive Essay)

If we look around us, we completely say that we are satisfied except for one thing. Gadget. One gadget has it's own multitasking ability, especially laptop. There is one thing why we really really want this gadget. It's the virtualization. Although laptop carries a bunch of data, it's still light, portable and handy. It has built-in microprocessor chip that enables laptop to become a multitasking master. It also has a built-in Random Access Memory that stores large amount of data. A laptop has it's own features and maybe different from the others. Your laptop experience will depend on the service provider you trust.

A laptop is a real friend in deed! If we have an essay assignments, we could just open the laptop and do it. We can type letters and the system will automatically write the letters in a virtual paper. The letter written will be perfectly aligned. Another thing is, when we feel bored, our laptop is always there for us. We could boot it up and play several games. If we don't know how to cook a particular dish, we could check Google to know ow to cook it. If we cannot leave our work, we could save it in our laptop and do it in our home.

A laptop had the things we need. We can do projects, play games, test sound waves, watch videos and many more. If you have internet connection, we can extend more and overcome limits. We can do online banking, online shopping, do a research or even chat with one another! We can do almost all things we need. We can venture to a new world and do anything we want to do. We can have freedom and prosperity without limits!

However, some people treat laptop as a hacking tool. Hackers such as Anonymous International, use laptop to hack websites which violate their laws. They use laptop to steal one's property or to hack their accounts. They bully a person to get what they want. White-hats and Antivirus program is still there to help and protect us. They fight us from viruses and evil hackers.

Indeed, laptop is a real friend. If we treat it carefully, it will last long and it will help us from our daily lives. But if we abuse them, they will crashed up and can destroy our lives. But as for me, a laptop is my friend from the future.
